Fun in the sun

We have had a busy and fun filled summer so far. Last week Jon and Kim came to visit . The kids love having them around. They cried and cried when they left :( We also celebrated my 20th birthday ;) ( That is the perk of ordering your own birthday cake )

We have had scorching hot temps here. The kids don't mind because we spend the days at the pool or running through the sprinkler.

Bella doesn't care that the water coming out of the sprinkler is freezing cold. She loves it.

Jake jumping off of the diving board.

Cody would jump off of the board and into this intertube. It was pretty entertaining.

My crazy dude doing flips off of the board.

Kate thought she was going to jump off but at the last minute changed her mind.

Cody's year in 1st grade (picture overload but I couldn't help myself ;) )

Cody had two really awesome teachers -Mrs. J and Mrs. G- this year. I could not have asked for better ones for my shy little man who has come out of his shell this year. They are so positive and outgoing. Cody is really going to miss them . I think it is so important to have good teachers who instill in these kids a love for learning at such a young age. That is a gift that no one can ever take away from them. I am so happy that Cody enjoys learning so much. These pictures are from a CD that the teachers sent home with him on the last day of school . I know there are a lot, but they were just sooo good. I had many more to choose from but these were my favorites.

I feel like I am being unfair to Jake by posting so many of Cody. I just didn't get a cool CD like this from his teacher. Jake had a really good teacher this year too who helped him excel even though he missed so much school because of his throat.
